Notifications based on Ship Date or First Available Pickup Date
As of 8/28/19 you can schedule automated Notifications to be sent from BATS based on Ship Date or First Available Pickup Date. These notifications will be sent once per day, around 11AM Eastern Time, when the date matches the number of days +/- the specified Ship Date or First Available Pickup Date. Additionally, these notifications will be triggered only if the Order is in "Searching for Carriers" status. Here is how to set up this feature.
First, create an Email Template that will be used for the Notification. Notification can be sent as an email or as a text message, depending on how the Email Template is configured.
Then, configure the Notification Template:
- On Setup menu click on Notifications then click on "+ New" button
- Enter a Description for this Notification
- Select "Ship Date" from the "Order Trigger" dropdown list
- Select the template that you want to send with this Notification
- Select "First Available Pickup Date" from the "Use This Ship Date" dropdown list
- Select -3 from the "Days From Ship Date" dropdown list
- This field specifies how many days before or after the Ship Date/First Available Pickup Date, negative values mean before and positive values mean after.
- For example, if the First Available Pickup Date is 9/10/19 and Notification is set up to send -3 days from ship date, then the notification will be sent on 9/7/19, 3 days before the First Available Pickup Date.
- You can send notifications after the Ship Date/First Available Pickup Date, but these will be sent only if the Order is still in "Searching for Carriers" status.
- This allows you to send a touchpoint email/text to the customer if their Order has not been dispatched after their First Available Pickup Date has passed.
- Finally, select which lead or referral sources you want this Notification to apply to
- This allows you to send different Notifications based on lead/referral source or to restrict sending Notifications for specific lead/referral sources only.
