Enable VoIP calling from BATS (Mac OS)

Enable VoIP calling from BATS (Mac OS)

BATS uses the built in Operating System (Windows/Mac) functionality to connect to your softphone application to make a call.  You have to configure your OS to use the correct softphone application on your computer (Vonage, 8x8, RingCentral, etc).  To do this on a MacOS please follow these steps:
(For instructions on how to set this up on Windows OS please see this article.)
  1. Open FaceTime application, click on FaceTime menu, then click on Preferences
  2. At the bottom of the preferences panel change the setting for "Default for calls" option to the application that you want to use for outbound calling
    1. Note: if your application does not show up in this list then it is not recognized by the MacOS as a telephony application.  Please contact the application maker for support with this option.
