We have been busy throughout 2024 planning for the future of BATS and are ready to share some of the fruits of that labor with you. 2025 will be a very exciting year for BATS also, as we start to roll out new features and enhancements to our users.  Some of these have been in the works for a while, and we are excited to show you a sneak peek today.

Here is what’s coming to BATS in January 2025:

This month we will release BATS Version 4 with a brand new eDoc platform.  The new eDoc platform will replace the SPORT portal which allows your customers to electronically sign contracts.  The eDoc platform has been in the works for some time and is a significant advancement in functionality that we are providing to you, our customers, so that you can extend the branding and build stronger connection with your customers.  The eDoc platform is fully customizable with your logo and color scheme, ensuring your customers feel confident using the platform and recognize that they are still engaging directly with your company.

In addition to the customization, the eDoc platform has a built-in short-URL functionality so that you can send shorter links to your customers via SMS or email.  We have incorporated additional levels of security into the eDoc platform, such as automated captcha verification and user authentication by email or phone number, to ensure that only authorized users can view and sign your contracts.  All existing signed contracts will be accessible in the new eDoc platform.

What else is in the works for 2025?

AQua 2.0: The new version of the most widely used automated pricing engine was rebuilt from ground up using machine learning technology which takes into consideration additional data that was not possible in the past.  AQua 2.0 uses real-time weather, gas prices and lane congestion data in its calculations, to provide even more accurate price predictions.

BATS V.5: On the heels of version 4, we are already working on BATS version 5.  The new version is a complete rewrite of the BATS platform, which will allow us to develop new features faster, more quickly integrate new technologies as they become available, and expand our ecosystem of integrations with third party systems.  We are also modernizing the user experience with a “facelift” to the front end of the application.  You will start to see some of these changes very soon as we will release these updates in stages, one section of the system at a time.
